Tuakau Schools

Tuakau is able to provide three options for your secondary education. They are; 

Our local secondary school, Tuakau College is a fine country school that has gained for itself an enviable reputation as a school of academic achievement.  Daily buses come in from outside of the district.  The college takes children from Year 7 through to Year 13.

Over the river and up into the hills you will find the Onewhero Area School, which IS a bus ride, another rural school catering to the students of Tuakau. This school educates students from Year 1 through to Year 13.

For those parents seeking private education, Tuakau can offer that as well with the Eden Christian Academy, a non-denominational school that is located within the grounds of the historic La Valla Estate on Dominion Road. The academy has allied itself with the Cambridge International Examanation system and this has set it on the road to success as a school of choice for those seeking such an education for their children.
